What,s the differance between cosmedic and regular oils? I just looked at a supplier and their cosmedic grade Avacado and Sweet almond oils were about $10 less per 7 lbs.

it just means that it has not been purified as much as the food grade oils, and may still contain some chemicals that they use to extract the oils (hexane etc...)

just be careful, call the supplier and ask them the difference between them, it will vary from one supplier to the next.

From what i understood about oils - When the item is first pressed, the initial rich oil, that is the food grade quality. The shell/rind is then pressed again, and probably put in a solvent to help release the rest of the oil, and that is the cosmetic grade. That was the answer I was given when I asked a company awhile back (wish I could remember which one)
