will it rect with soap Lye???/I do have some parchment Paper would that prevent a reaction.... here is the deal.... I want to spread it out on my cookie sheet and use my cookie cutter(stainless Steel) to cut the soap 24 hours later. But the pan says it is contructed of steel! Am I safe?

The only metal I would use with soaping is STAINLESS STEEL. If it just says "steel", I'm not really sure how safe it is...but lining it with parchment should help. Just make sure anywhere the soap would touch has the paper barrier.

I've poured soap into a metal baking tray and cut out with cookie cutters and they come out really cool! But, I lined my baking tray with baking paper. Not sure how that compares with parchment paper but I would definitely line it.
