Confetti Soap - Why do the math like this?

I'm just lazy, when I do confetti soap I just make a normal sized batch and just pour half, add my confetti and fill the rest of the mold. If I have extra soap batter left over I just pour it into one of my single bar molds. It's not like having extra soap bars is a bad thing. If I don't sell them to someone then I just use them myself. Calculating the difference is just too much work when I just want to make soap. And all of the soap I make is goat milk soap and has basically the same oils and ingredients so my confetti ingredients are listed already.

I actually sought out this thread just for the video, as I'm drawing up plans for a layered soap with confetti in only half of the layers, which I want to all be equal sizes!

So for some of us the maths is actually quite handy!

But for just a single colour soap? No chance, life's too short, just chuck 'em in :D

Well there may be a reason that some of our more seasoned soapers can enlighten us with, but like I said I just dump it in.

Take a look at other folks’ vids, like Soap Queen. She probably has something on confetti soap.
Soap Queen has a great tutorial for confetti soaps. I’ve made plenty of confetti soaps and aside from the occasional odd amount of soap being made because I want to use up all my scraps (I just use individual molds for the excess) I’ve never had a problem. And I just make my batter like normal and add in the shreds, too!
Don’t overthink it, confetti soap isn’t meant to be a complicated recipe.
