Hi there, i'm still new to this hobby, i have made a few bath bars using just Cocoa butter and a small amount of shea butter, with a fragrance oil and a bit of Sweet almond oil, as with candle wax and M&P .. is there anything that can colour butters or does everything have to be made in this creamy off white when finished..?
I have searched for colouring butters with no luck really..??

You can use mica or liquid colorant. Just melt and color. I don' make bath melts anymore. Too slick in the tub. Also, people really don't want floating oils these days. I didn't color them I just wrapped them in pretty candy foils. I color MP with micas as well.

I think its still quite new in the UK shunt2011, bath melts are still being used, but as its a butter, its difficult to get a colour into it tbh.. most dyes for wax and M&P are waterbased so they dont seem to colour it. I may try food colour powders to see how that comes out.. cheers.. :)

Powdered food color doesn't disperse well in oils, you really need to use micas. They work perfectly in oil based products, mix the mica with a little of your almond oil before adding it to the butter mixture.
