colorants conversion needed please

Hi i was wondering anyone could give me an idea of how much soap .2 oz of mica would color. Everywhere I look i am finding measurements for 1/2 tsp/tbl ect. I found a sample kit of mica colors i would like to try, and i just want to be sure that I batch my soaps up correctly. without having to scramble and possibly waste ingrediants and so forth.

It depends how deep you want the color to be. For some soaps, I only use what will fit on the tip of a knife.

Thanks this is greatly appreciated. My order should be here in less than a week, and i am eager to get started. Have my workroom, still have to get the shelves up. but tables and stands are in place, gathering equipment. I have a quick question. Does anyone make just a plain uncolored bar of soap? I have to admit i have seen so many artistic creations out there that it is almost overwhelming, but don't see alot of just plain soap. I've never used colorants before, i always depended on the ingrediants and herbs to choice how they would color and decorate my cp's so this is a brand new experience for me that i am looking forward to.
