Cold process soap issues

I made CP soaps and kept it at a place which was very sunny and hot. Unfortunately beacuse of covid lockdown, I got stuck somewhere and couldnt look at the soaps for good 2 months ( as I was away). When I returned and checked my soaps, the soaps not only lost the fragrance but also lost it's real colour which I gave it. Either the colour became too dark or absolutely dull .
What could be the reason ?
And is it true that in CP soaps, fragrance cannot last

It could be the fragrance isn't made for High PH soaps. I use Fragrances and many of mine stick for a very long time. What kind of colorants are you using? If you're using natural colorants like spices it's not uncommon for them to fade fairly quickly depending on how stored. Micas, oxides and ultramarines work better but also need ot be formulated for use in High PH soaps.

Sunny and hot may not be an ideal place for curing soap. Cool, dark, but with fresh air would be ideal.
