Coffee M&P Recipe

I wanted to use the following recipe, but can I substitue Aloe Vera Juice for the Aloe Vera Gel (are these the same product?)

8 oz. Coconut Opaque M&P Base
2 tsp. Lanolin
2 tsp. Aloe Vera Gel
3 tsp. Coffee Grounds
2 tsp. Heavy Whipping Cream
10 Drops Coffee Fragrance Oil
10 Drops Vanilla Fragrance Oil

Instructions: Melt the soap base in a double boiler. Add all the other ingredients and stir well. Pour into molds and let it sit for 3 hours Put molds in freezer for 5 minutes and pop them out.

Also can I substitute the Coconut Opaque M&P Base for a Goats Milk M&P Base?

I am going to put them in Coffee Cups molds, I thought that would be really cute!

Do you think this recipe would work well? Does anyone have any suggestions, this will be my first time adding other ingredients besides color and fragrance.

Do you think I could add some caramel or something of the like to the recipe? Would I need a preservative to put that type of stuff into a recipe?

I do two different coffee MP recipes.

Mochaccino soap, I do a white base (GM, coconut, shea - whatever I have that time LOL), and I add cappuccino mocha FO, vitamin E, lanolin unless the buyer has wool allergies, and some coffee grounds (unused).

Coffee Bean soap, I use a clear base, add black coffee FO, sweet milk FO, AKO, and whole roasted coffee beans. They float to the top and make a nice exfoliating/massaging layer. The scent really starts to permeate the soap after several days so take it easy on the FO...

Hi jewel531, You can use aloe juice instead of the gel and Goats milk MP base is okay as well. I think the caramel could possibly start to ferment in your soap, unless you add such a small amount that it wouldn't be noticeable anyway

That recipe sounds lovely and I am sure you will really enjoy the result. Please post pics when unmoulded for us to see!
