Mmmmm, I bet it's smells like white chocolate!

Any particular reason you don't let it gel? Just to retain the aroma?

That's really just a side benefit, when I was testing recipes I was looking to retain the creamy, milkiness of non-gelled soap. When I'm testing a recipe I generally don't color or scent. Kinda serendipity that it turns out how it does, it might be one of my favorite recipes.

Thanks! I don't know how to not gel, so I haven't tried that yet.

I made another batch of cocoa/peppermint this morning and used the non-deodorized CB. That can only make it better, I think!

I think in order to not gel what youd ned to do is stick your soap pot in ice while mixing it and then when its in the mold put it in the fridge for a few hours...

(could be wrong ....clarifications?!?!)

yes I use the non-deodorized one. do it quite often actually. smells richly of chocolate.

the 48% recipe is a dream... but don't attempt that till you've more experience IMO, and soap with low temps!

Thanks carebear! Yes, I am still working on my base recipe and working out the different lye calcs available and how much to superfat etc....all those interesting variables.....so I will leave more complex soaps for a while  :D
