I was wondering if any of you had some suggestions (soap recipes) for a variety of soaps to make for Christmas gifts.

I don't know if these appeal to you:

I'm planning to give some of the lard-kerosene bars for stain removal, with boxes of baking soda, Borax, and a bottle of vinegar, to a couple of people.

For others with sensitive skin: olive/castor bars

No-SF, lard bars for making laundry soap go to the friends who have children and pets, and don't dare use lye at home.

If I get to it, I'll make jars of salve for the ones with sensitive skin, too. Castor, jojoba, sweet almond oil, olive oil, Vitamin E, beeswax.

I am gonna try beer soap for my dad. Long story. Also gonna try a mild soap for stepbrother and wife.Whipped floating soap for his daugther.

Its soap using flat beer instead of water for liquid. I have to find the recipe again. Sorry not more help.

The soap does not smell like beer . I made some for dh and he really likes it - go figure.

And mine traced fast, so just keep an eye out for that. Almost had to spoon it in to molds.

Editted for more info.
