The other day my friend said she wished she had a chocolate chip pancake scented soap, so, inspired, I searched around for a choco chip FO and tried my hand at making a batch
I used the "Fluffy Chocolate Chip Pancakes" FO from Just Scent, a little leftover "King Tut Gold" mica from Mad Micas and some coffee grounds; my recipe is a veerrryyy simple one that I'm trying to perfect and am still fine tuning:
- 18.75 oz olive oil
- 5 oz coconut oil
- 1.5 oz castor oil
- 4.85 oz lye +5.5 oz water/5.5 oz ice
Soaped at room temperature and poured at a med. trace. I'm relatively new to soapmaking, and this batch felt like a turning point for me; I had that "I know what I'm doing" rhythm going lol. There's always room for improvement though!
It smells so good, I can't wait to cut into it! Fingers crossed it comes out okay
