hello all
I am trying to make a block solid detergent that is a presoak. However the sodium carbonate component will swell after it hardens. It is blended with water. Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Thanks

You would need to post your recipe and process to be able to help troubleshoot
Hello,
Here is my formula:
2 lbs water
Trisodium Phosphate .2173 lbs
Sodium tripoly phosphate heavey 2.173
Dense soda ash 4.21
Sodium sulfate anhydrous 3.17
Nonpheny ethoxylate (np9) .1086
Calsoft L-40 .3423

Blend in a disperser (1800 rpm) this will take on a wet cement consistency
pour into jar. Product will then harden. However after about 8 hrs the product will swell.
I may need to use light ash.
Any insight would prove useful
