looks awesome! i love that swirl, let us know if it stays after curing!

Love your soap! The streaky swirly effect looks awesome and may be the result of a partial gel as you said, or possibly you could have mixed the batter a little longer to completely emulsify all the ingredients together? I like to pour (at the earliest) when I know I have a light trace on top of the batter when I drip some back on top with my SB. Though you wouldn't have that amazing look happening if you did anything different!!!

Tanya :)

BTW - what fragrance will you try in your next batch?

I actually SB'd until what I thought was a full trace. The consistency was like thick pudding. Who knows 8)

As for my next batch, it's in the mold doing its thing as I type this. I put some peppermint EO in it. Later this evening I'll be creating a 3rd batch with Smoky Patchouli fragrance.

Very nice!

As for the swirls, I get those a lot when I'm not trying either. I sometimes use a chopstick to swirl through my soap once it's in the mold (to break up any air bubbles when I pour it thick), and even though my soap is all one colour, it has a slight swirly effect when I cut it.

I have had swirls like yours in a castile batch that I didn't do the chopstick thing to, too. Weird. All of my soaps with these "mystery" swirls are fine though, so I'm not really worried.
