I don't have much that's pretty. I'm tweaking a recipe
and made it 4 different ways to evaluate results -- then
it will go into a re-batch.

The following is a re-batch (I seem to do a lot of that).
It's white soap with whiter blotches in it and the first
time I got to use my crinkle cutter -- fun. Had a hard
time naming this one...finally came up with:

"Shades of Pale"
I can be normal -- sometimes.

you are definitely one productive lady! :D

i'm really starting to like the crickle-cutter. it adds a lot of depth and character. before i got a wire slicer i used just the plain straight cutter and a miterbox.

you have nice, straight cuts, does that fit in the miterbox, or do you just have strong, steady hands?

i bet that would look nice with the 2" round guest soaps, too.

i suppose i'm going to have to get one, so i can play with the rest of the kids in the sandbox! LOL! :D

What's the name of the white molds/cutter that is bolted together with wing nuts?--type of plastic? Forgot. Anyway, I use that cutter and the crinkle cutter fits into the slots perfectly. In fact, when I use a straight-blade in that cutter, there is too much room and the cuts aren't as straight as with the crinkle cutter, cause the slot is tight. Hope I said that right!

I like your crinkle cut as well. I am crinkle challenged. :(

My cutter won't fit into my miter box and I end up with soap that looks more like pie slices instead of bars!

Any cutting hints would be appreciated!

If you search here for a Milla cutter , it works with both crinkle and straight cuts .Hubby made me one ( I shamelessly copied Milla's cutter ) .It is the first time I have had straight cuts since I started making soap .Very easy to make . I love that thing .

Shades of Pale is gorgeous. Cream colored soap must be on everybody's mind! I was just thinking of making goat's milk and a coconut cream soap! Anyway....your 4 soap trials look very pretty too. Love those molds! What type are they and do they work with CP?

The molds with raised edges I got used on ebay. Not sure what they are.
The molds on the right are Milky Way molds. They are flexible enough
that the soap releases easy. Recipes have to be just right for a bar
mold to release well and molds have to be flexible enough too.

One thing I do wish about my "Milla cutter" is that I want the front stop for the soap to be taller. I screwed up and had to cut my wood shorter. So...something to think about. It doesn't seem to matter though and I can always glue on another piece of wood above the stop.

Anyway...I need to get me a crinkle cutter!

may i ask where you got the crinkle slicer?

Bitter Creek, but many places sell them.
I recommend the one with the taller handle -- like this:
