Overall, I was fairly happy with this first attempt at a nourishing facial wash, at least aesthetics-wise. Next time will wait until it's firmer before attempting to cut (notice the drag lines).

I was really pleased with the swirl (though I intended something different altogether)... I think it looks kinda like flames :)

I was really torn about adding fragrance, as I really wasn't sure if this would smell revolting or not unscented, but didn't want to chance irritating sensitive facial skin, so didn't. Surprisingly, the scent is currently sort of breakfast-y, which isn't too bad, considering I used heavy cream.

Wow! Those look amazing! And they have sort of a "healthy" look about them...totally perfect for a facial bar.

I love those, that swirl is really cool.

I want to try a facial bar next :)

Thank you everyone :D

@Hazel I think it's more my lack of picture-taking skills than your monitor lol I've done my lightbox, but I think I probably made it too small and don't have the backdrop in yet >.< I also really need to get the right type of lighting for it... have been using a combo of daylight, my daughter's fishtank light laid across the top of the box or propped behind (which I have to be careful with, as it really lends a bluish tint to photos) and a floor lamp that provides really yellow tinted light. Need to get some proper lights for each side and daylight bulbs.

Nope! It's my monitor. It shows everything darker than they actually are and one day I'll get around to replacing it. I'd prefer to replace the computer & monitor but this won't be for a long, long time.

I haven't logged on here in months, but I had to today to tell you I am so inspired by this soap!!! I love it, it's gorgeous.

This might just be my vivid imagination but those soaps remind me of fire , maybe like a grass fire or something, especially how the colour blends at the bottom. I know there isn't anything particularly fire looking about them but it still reminds me of it. They are fantastical! :D
