Hi to all,

I'm interested in opening a mini store some day and candles are definitely a must have but in the mean time, it's not the main focus of it all!

I was wondering what would make most sense and is most worth:
Do you think (out of experience and perspective) it's more worth investing in candle making items such as molds/wax/wicks/colour/tools and make candles yourself?

Or

Simply purchase plain ready candles and sell them?

From my view, I feel that candle making is too expensive for just a small section of my shop-to-be (which I'm planning to include mostly pillar candles) but I'm not sure if at the end it's more worth making candles yourself, maybe get a better profit or something.

Speaking from a general business background with no experience at all making candles for sale, I'd suggest you definitely buy candles wholesale until you gain experience merchandising and marketing. Creating products and running a successful store are two very different things and the latter will present enough challenges.
