Can I use Ceramic Molds?

So i was browsing craigslist and someone is giving away free ceramic molds can i use them?

Yes, but you need to prep them with a silicone spray because ceramic molds are so pourous, AND they take FOREVER to release and set up even using a hard bar recipe, and ceramic molds are usually only 1 cavity molds and VERY heavy...

I tried it once and gave up. You can get silicone candle molds that are much easier to work with and get the same if not better detailed results...

I would think the molds would suck the water out of the soap & throw off the recipe.

maybe free isn't the way to go , my husband will have to make me some molds instead. thanks
