I use NOW branded essential oils. What do you think of those? When I first started soapmaking my loaves would sweat and the problem was low quality essential oils. If you are buying from a reputable soapmaking supplier your EO’s are probably good.
Thank you! I haven't thrown them away, I didn't plan to! Everything is well with them! I used it last night for a pre-cure lather test and in the shower it was awesome. No zaps included lolSoap 'sweat' is often lye heavy - in recently made batches that is. After it reabsorbs it is usually just fine soap. Anything made in the past 48 hours that is sweaty will have zap - so don't throw it away just because of that. It's a waste of good soap.
I use NOW brand oils, but in my solid lotions, not in soap. They are a good brand, very popular and reasonably priced. They have a lab and they test everything before they sell it to verify purity.I use NOW branded essential oils. What do you think of those?
I can't wait to try them in my lotions!I use NOW brand oils, but in my solid lotions, not in soap. They are a good brand, very popular and reasonably priced. They have a lab and they test everything before they sell it to verify purity.
Just make sure that whichever ones you try, you find out if they are skin safe and how much you need to dilute it. Some essential oils are meant to be used in a diffuser and not on skin. Some are irritating unless you dilute it enough.I can't wait to try them in my lotions!
