Bubbles vs. Lather

I have had those large bubbles of which you speak and I rarely use high CO content in my soaps. It has surprised me when this happens, and do sort of wonder what the particular soap recipe was when that happened.
 
I use coconut milk in the majority of my recipes. It does help with a creaminess to the lather in my opinion. My soap gives a thick creamy lather with smaller bubbles. I use about 40% lard with a bit of shea too. I'm not fond of cocoa butter in soap. and of course castor.
Wondering why you're not keen on cocoa butter in soap? I'm interested because I've just made a batch with some and waiting to test it. Thanks.
