I am completely new to soap making, this will be my first time ever. I came up with a recipe and would like to know what do you guys think before I purchase the ingredients.

Thought process of my formulation:
- I was in Morocco for couple of months and started using their Beldi soap(made from olive oil + paste, it is in very thick gel like consistency, not a bar) from head to toe and it was surprisingly good?
- So I want to keep it simple and use olive oil as the main base but to make it a bar I decided to add in some cocoa butter and coconut oil.

Lye concentration: 33% ( I read somewhere that at 33%, it gives more time more for beginners to work slowly?)
Superfat: 5%

Olive oil 80%
Cocoa butter 10%
Coconut oil 10%

might add some green clay for colour and some EO for smell

Hardness: 28
Cleansing: 7
Condition: 70
Bubbly: 7
Creamy: 21
Iodine: 73
INS: 126

Will this be okay to use from head to toe?

Beldi soap is made with KOH, not NaOH, which is why it's a firm paste, not a solid bar.

Your proposed recipe is going to make soap that is highly soluble in water, so it may not last as long as you want in the bath. With that much olive oil, it's going to have a low amount of creamy lather that may feel slick and gelatinous.

I think this recipe would be fine for use on skin. I don't have particularly sensitive facial skin, so what works on my body also works for my face. Whether your face will like this soap or not is something you'll have to find out.

Hair is another story. While some people use lye-based soap on their hair with no ill effects, I'd say more people have found soap, with its high pH, to be drying and damaging to their hair.

IMO, most people's hair is going to respond better to a cleanser made from a blend of synthetic detergents that is pH adjusted to be on the acidic side.
