Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started making cold process soaps and I’m exploring different packaging options that keep the soap fresh while also looking professional for gifting purposes. I’ve heard wax paper is a popular choice because it helps maintain the soap's texture and prevents it from sticking during storage.

Has anyone tried using custom wax paper for wrapping? I came across a website, Wax Paperie that offers personalized options but I’m unsure how effective it would be for soap wrapping.

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with using wax paper or other alternatives for soap packaging! Any tips on designing or storing would also be much appreciated. 😊

Thanks in advance!

Do a soap packaging search on here for tons of info. There is probably a less expensive way than using that custom wax paper. I have seen soap wrapped 100 different ways.

I make custom boxes and labels with a cricut machine. Though mine decided to stop cutting a couple days ago and I had to take advantage of the Black Friday deals to buy a new one. Still waiting for it's delivery.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely do a search for more ideas on the forum. I’m exploring options that strike a balance between affordability and a polished, professional look. Do you have a favorite method of wrapping soaps that’s cost effective but still gift-worthy? I’d love to hear about it!

Wow, custom boxes and labels with a Cricut machine sound amazing! That must give your packaging a really professional and personalized touch. I’ve been considering investing in one too though sorry to hear about your old machine! I hope your new one arrives soon. Do you find the custom boxes hold up well against moisture from the soap over time or do you add a liner or wrap inside for extra protection?

I have wrapped my soaps like this using printed colour paper that is used for card making, you can get single sheets or a book with different patterns in it and it's very easy to do, I put cigar band labels on mine and then wrapped like the video. Very affordable and giftable, no cricut needed.
