Lightly colored soaps with oxide shouldn't hurt....never has for me.

The slightly lye heavy stuff actually cleans better than the 0% superfat. A little zap won't matter where it's so dilute and not in contact with skin.

Thanks! That's good cause mine is already set up (I poured it into a gallon milk jug and was shaking it like crazy ever time I looked at it) after 1.5 days so I used it earlier on an old sheet and tablecloth that have been hiding in the far reaches of the laundry room and it seems to have worked. Gonna have to have the kids go do some knee slides in the wet grass (in play clothes of course) and put it to the test :D

Uh.....don't expect miracles on stains like that. It works well enough on everyday laundry but you really need an enzyme and bleaching agent for the best results on things like grass, blood, etc.

I figured as much :D I just want to see how it compares.

Question, since I used your recipe - can I add the those ingredients to the soap, or do I need to use them separately? And as a general laundry question, if I need them, what should I use? I've never used anything but one of those stain sticks, like once a year and never use bleach (but I don't have many whites for a reason LOL) .The ALL that I use seems to work on everything the kids throw at me.

Actually, it would probably be far more cost effective to just add them as you need them. That's what I do....most things don't need that kind of a kick all the time, and clothes last longer with simpler ingredients, in my experience.
