Wow, I usually just buy gallons, but since we're crunching numbers, I'm thinking maybe I'll go for the 50lb. drum of CO, works out to $0.11/oz. for me too!
That's alot of salt soap

Shipping for entire order (coconut, olive, palm, castor, a few colors and additives) was around $24 compared with $45 from Soaper's Choice (though their coconut oil is only 13c/oz).sosocal said:Hazel said:Great point, I am in Southern California so I guess I am closer to Brambleberry than Soaper's Choice. That's an amazing difference in shipping costs.sosocal said:Hazel said:[quote="sosocal":3i5ayxjg]I found Soaper's Choice was cheapest per ounce of oil but Brambleberry had lower shipping charges so I went with them.
Depends on where you live. SC's shipping costs are much cheaper than BB's since I live in Ohio.
eta: Out of curiousity, I checked to see how much it would cost to ship 35 lbs of CO from BB to me. $84.40 Yikes! It only costs $15.28 to ship 50 lbs CO from CF/SC.
It is a huge difference. How much does it cost for you to get CO from BB? I do wish it the shipping was cheaper. I'd order more supplies like FOs and additives from BB if it wasn't so expensive.
sosocal said:Yes it was mid $40's (can't remember exact amount) - but that was for my total order, not just CO. I filled my cart with olive, palm, coconut, and castor oil.

Off the top of my head - Brambleberry, Elements Bath & Body, Majestic Mountain Sage, The Herbarie, Camden-Grey, Wholesale Supplies Plus, The Soap Dish. There are more but I can't think of them right now. Have you looked through the Shopping Recommendations section for info on suppliers?

Thanks!
