Are you making a water/oil emulsion or a whipped butter or salve?

If a lotion, Shea and Cocoa butters are very draggy and do not absorb well. RBO is great for dry and/or mature skin.

It will be a water/oil emulsion but won't be just the butter in the oil portion. I'll likely use around 25% butter (% of the oil portion, not counting the water here). I have a jar of cream I made with 50% coco butter and I really like it but its a tad bit too thick for what I'm wanting this time around. I'll try to find some RBO to add, does it keep decently well in lotions? I do use a preservative.

I love whipped shea butter without the heating element. Go to Soap Queen Blog to see her recipe.

I was thinking shea would be better. Is the scent of golden shea hard to cover? I'm getting some deodorized but I have a pound of the golden and I hate the smell so its just sitting around.
I have a good recipe for a body cream, I don't mind the heating and I have it down pretty good now.
