Behaviour of EO in CP soap

I have heard that essential oil and its blend do not last long in cp soaps. It that true? Please guide.
I'm new at soap making amd fragrance oils are not at my disposal as compared to essential oil. Does its properties fade away due to lye present.??

Citrus EOs are more likely to fade in CP soap. I have several EO blends that last well in CP soap. Find Free Essential Oil Blends - Modern Soapmaking is a good place to find blend formulas.

It's true. In my experience, most EOs fade in about 6 months. This has been discussed many times. You can do a search to find threads about ways to help essential oils to "stick".
