I have been making bath bombs for a while now, I seem to be okay with everything other than the colours, I really struggle to create a strong colour that will also give a good colour the the bath water. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi Leahmarie -

I've been making bath bombs for several years and I'm wondering whether you are using FD & C lakes or dyes to colour your bath bombs, or if you are using micas?

I use lakes / dyes for a beautiful vibrant colour both in the bath bomb and in the tub - I'm in New Zealand but here are a couple of links that might assist - Lake Dyes or this firm Cosmetic | Www.eazycolours.co.uk | Lincolnshire seems to be well regarded :) And you can mix to create custom colours too and create coloured embeds for special effects - I remember how excited I was when I used lakes for the first time and got the gorgeous effect I'd been trying for!

Best of luck! :)
