I am very curious to know what percentage of fragrance do you soapers usually add to your bath bomb recipes. I make mine with a 1% fragrance, and was wondering what people in general prefer.

My recipe usually is 1 cup baking soda, to 1/2 cup citric acid.

Happy Soaping!!!!

Usually 1%, sometimes 2% if the FO is weaker and 2% doesn't exceed the recommended usage rate.

Just wondering, how do you figure out the percentage of fragrance you are using for bath bombs? What does 1% mean, exactly?

1% means one part in 100. so it'd be 99 parts bath bomb + 1 part FO.

take the total weight of your batch (all ingredients except the FO) and multiply it by 0.01. this will give you the weight of the FO.

Actually that's not the math for EXACTLY 1% but it's close enough for government work.
