Batch #27 Ultimate Poison Ivy Soap 2-4-2008
This is the result of long research and study.
The additives have been carefully chosen
For there individual properties addressing the urushiol oil
of the poison ivy plant (T. radicans ssp. Divaricatum), specifically to counteract the effects of the urushiol oil on the skin.
17 ingredients:

Base oils:
Coconut oil 4 oz. Palm kernel 6 oz. Canola 9 oz.
Castor oil 1 oz. [total oils 20 oz.]
Super fat discount 0%
Lye 3.112 oz. Water 7.6 oz. discounted to 6.0 oz.

Additives to oil:
Jewel weed powder 2 tbsp
Witch hazel Powder 2 tbsp
Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
Pumice (med) 2 tbsp

At trace: .5 oz. Vitamin E, .5 oz. Glycerin, .5 oz. Aloe Vera gel
.5 oz Tea tree oil, Diphenhygramine Hydrochloride 1 oz., .5 oz. Turpentine
1/3 separated for color ½ tsp Titanium Dioxide
Hardness 40 Cleansing 32 Condition 53 Bubbly 36 Creamy 12
Iodine 62 INS 136

with a temp around 145 (this is after 2.5 hours)

here are the cut bars, The lines are from the cutting blade hitting the
pumice in the soap, looks kinda purdy to be a pioson Ivy soap:

That is a very interesting soap color you have going on Neil.
Looks kind of African.

Seriously, though, that is a very nice looking soap. We don't have poison ivy here (thank goodness) but sounds like it would be very soothing.

That pic is amazing, what a cloud formation. You captured it beautifully.
