Aspen Bark Extract

Has anyone tried aspen bark extract in their creams/lotions? I hear it may be a good natural preservative, John Masters uses it in their products.

oh, I wish somebody would answer the question! I would like to use it in my serum as a preservative, but probably it would be better to use as a combination with some other preservative? Aspin Bark Extract % + [another preservative] % would be perfect...

It is so sad that natural has become sooooo expensive. It would be cool to learn how to process the bark ourselves....
