My better half loves argan oil.......Does anyone here use it in any of the soaps they make?

I too use it in a facial bar but it's too expensive to use in large quantities. I use about 15%. It's an amazing oil.
I am lucky enough to have a friend that's a native of Morocco. I am pretty new at this,..........could you provide a recipe for a facial bar? Thanks

I agree it is an amazing oil, but remember that soap made with great oil doesn't always make great soap. Look at coconut oil. I love that oil for my skin, but when it is made into soap it becomes very drying.

The oil in my opinion is 100% better than the soap it makes, and considering the price I would rather use it in a lotion than in a soap. In small quantities, I use it for the label appeal, but honestly I don't believe it lends any great difference in soap. I think for many ingredients people imagine all kinds of benefits to it and therefore they convince themselves it is better, but in blind tests it is not the favorite.

Check out Soaping 101. She has a facial bar recipe that's good for starters and then when you get more familiar with soaping you can tweak it to your liking.
