if i am a new business and would like to start making and selling shampoo and conditioners, would there be any regulations and requirements i would have to jump through before i can start selling publicly? i live in the state of CA.

thank you  i am trying to seek opening a business to sell in Etsy and other sites, and was wondering where i should start! this helps a lot

How long have you been making bath and body products? I see by your introductory post that you are new to soap making. My advice is to research and experiment for several months before attempting to sell to the public. You need to learn how to do quality control testing on your products other than soaps to make sure they don't develop mold or bacteria colonies for several months. Check out the FDA site for rules in labeling etc.
