Are any fragrance oils hazardous to pets

Hi! Would anyone know if soap making (cold process) produces any off-gassing of fragrance oils that could be hazardous to pets. Mainly birds?

Hmm yes very good point. Certainly I wouldn't want to have any birds around for the lye mixing part of the exercise...

Well they DID send canaries into mines to check for the quality of air. However, in my short year of belonging to this group of now 26k soapers world-wide, I have never heard of a soaper complain that the process killed their birds. Just my observation. Someone might come along with a more scientific answer though.

Many essential oils are straight up toxic to pets.
