My week started here on this forum with asking the question about LLC or Sole Prop. I ended up going with SP and have been busy filing papers all week...some of it is going smoothly...some not so much. I'm looking for someone that might have gone through this process in Maryland. The state is insisting that I need a traders license to make and sell soap...my county is saying that since I make the soap and then sell it, that I do not. I called three different times to the county, spoke to 3 different people and they all said the same thing. Since I have to go through my county to get the traders license and they are saying that I don't need one...I am a bit confused! Has anyone experienced this?
