Any good stick blender recommendations

I think my stick blender is starting to go. It's a Hamilton Beach that I have had for about 3 years now. Got it for a good price (free from a relative ) and as of late when I use it has been giving off a burning. So I am looking to replace. Anybody have any good recommendations?

I don't know how much help I'll be to you, as I own a Hamilton Beach stickblender myself. The same one has lasted me through 6 years of soaping (and still going strong!).

Thanks for the link to the discussion! Glad to hear yours is still going strong. After reviewing the discussion, I think I will go with a Cuisinart. I will try to pick up this weekend.
