I think in DE, Hofer is called Aldi - same as in the UK. They might well have the same brands, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'll get a picture of the soap up in the next few days, but I would prefer to do it with natural light to be honest.

Aldi, I was using their OO for past 1,5 year, and here it was EV :\ Ok, no problems I’ll investigate… 

Pls do, put the pics on! :) And you r right, day light is soooo much better :)

Here it is! There is a bar from the mold that had the right amount of batter in, as well as a block from the 'other' mold - one of the broken blocks and another that is more presentable

Oh, I even like the broken bar. It looks so natural that way. And I love how white Castile is. Great job! Doesn't look crumbly like I was picturing in my head.

That looks lovely, I'm jealous!!! Never made a castille as I know I wouldn't wait a year to use it. You've inspired me to give it a go though.

i quite like the broken bar too. very natural looking. if i see that soap on display, i would buy it for sure.

I think I will give it a go twiggy :) would you just make plain castille or add scent, do you think after a year the scent would have faded too much.

I've made my plain, but hey - if the scent will go, you will have unscented bar of castile soap, what a big deal? You just need to remember where you kept it for last year hahaha My Castile is now 4 months old and I think I will slowly start to try it - have another 9 bars, so I think some of them will make it until full cure
The other one I’ve made is still very fresh – but yellow like a butter so I think I’m sentenced for yellow castile…
