ok, i got over the shipping included in price, now if you dont spend 30$ they tack on 8$ more dollars! so thats shipping twice, ugh!

yes, Iam looking for lotion jars and even with the extra 8$ they are still the cheapest. All other stuff I will prob go to other places.

I ordered something and the extra fee was $3. I think they add on whatever cost it takes to bring the total for the purchase up to $30. Sucks.

If you're buying lotion jars, can't you just buy more, so your total comes to $30 minimum? Jars will store for however long, of course, so you could get a supply and keep them in the closet for however long it takes you to use them up!

i was going to buy 48 jars at 21$,( I really dont need twice that amt) then they tack on 8 for not spending 30.

Why not just pick add something that comes to $9. The shipping is free and you can figure your item costs you $1 over the handling charge.

They just made a blog post they are raising their M&P prices too.

BTW: You asked why were they charging shipping twice, it's so they can ship to Canada for free and increase their customer base. Yep, you just footed the bill for someones international shipping.

I noticed this too, but I figured instead of paying for shipping I'll just add enough stuff to my cart to reach the minimum, even though I didn't want anything else :( and spent an hour browsing though the site to choose something.
If I have to spend more money anyway, then I'll at least get something out of it.

They are not cheap for melt and pour soap, but they are the cheapest for bottles and jars. You will need tops for those bottles also, so that may get your price up. I have found them the cheapest for castor oil too. So if I need to get it to the $30, I buy more castor oil.

Actually Columbus Foods has castor oil for much cheaper than WSP, and I am not sure what kind of jars you are looking for, but generally I think that sks bottles and the chemistry store (especially if you want smaller quantities) have better prices than WSP as well. So maybe you won't have to go there and try to figure out what else to buy after all.

Columbus Foods is only slightly cheaper than WSP depending on what part of the country you live in. I live in Ohio so CF would be slightly cheaper for me. However, people living further away would have to pay more in shipping so it would be cheaper for them to order from WSP.

Also, SKS Bottles and The Chemistry Store prices may look better on smaller amounts but what is the shipping going to be? You have to take this into consideration.

I'm not familiar with bayousome. I'll have to check out the site.

ETA: I went and looked at the site. I looked at 4 oz tottles (I like this size) and compared it to WSP. Shipping would have to be $7 to be comparable to WSP's price. If it was a lot less than it would be a better price. But I don't think it would be less. It costs me approximately $5 to $7 just to mail a small package to my sister.

WSP is $3.23 for 16 oz of Castor Oil. Plus free shipping if you include it in a $30 order. I haven't found it anywhere in my area or that ships to my area that cheap. I am in Montana, not a lot of different places to shop here.

I know what you mean. I live in a small town in Ohio and I have to order almost everything. :(

eta: I don't buy 16 oz of castor. I get the gallon because I use quite a bit of castor in almost all of my batches.

Sorry I was quoting a gallon's price on the castor oil, as that is less expensive by the pound. But even with the supposedly free shipping at wsp, columbus oils are still cheaper for me. Their shipping is quite reasonable, although it certainly will depend upon where you live. They do have a shipping calculator on the site though, so you can check it out before you fill out any info (I hate the ones that make you fill in all the boxes before you can get the shipping cost!). It certainly wont hurt to check it out and compare. And Bayousome does have some good sales at times, and some decent prices too, but they are limited in their selections. I do like the price for their seal and lid combos though. And if you join their mailing list you will get a link to a secret sale page that you cant see or access without having the link. Those deals are usually quite good.

Much luck in finding what you want at good prices!

I am sure you are, I might be excited if an Aussie supplier doubled their prices so they could offered free US shipping too, but you would feel a bit crapped on I bet.
