Stuck in my head
Well, there isn't much of a swirl going on, and I'm not sure how the middle is yet.
It's still very soft, so even though I took it out of the mold, I'm not going to cut it until tomorrow... So I won't know if the swirl went down into any of the soap until then. It didn't on the 2 ends, but who knows what the center will look like... LOL
Maybe 2012 isn't my year for soaping?? None of my soaps this year have turned out for diddly squat!! I've NEVER had this many problems!! LOL
But who cares, I'm not giving up...
Anyway, here it is before cutting. More pics tomorrow -

You may not be happy with it but I think it looks really nice.
Thanks!
I'm hoping I got at least some kind of something when I cut into it tomorrow...
Now off to rebatching. (Not this batch, another one)
That should be fun - NOT. LOL We'll see...

I think it looks nice. The red is really red.. I saw the pics and thought a good name would be "the red headed step child" .... lol - no offense to any red heads out there - my roots are in WV ;0..

Sometimes I find batches don't come out like I expect. I've learned to not expect much and end up with some really nice looking batches. Just wing it. I make up my mind what I am going to use for fragrance, color and additives when my oils are melting..

haha - no offense to me. We used to call my brother that growing up because he was a red-head. But we loved him non-the-less. :)

The red is a red oxide and I think I may have been a tad heavy handed with it. I hope it doesn't stain the wash rags. LOL Oh well, it's just for me and my family, so we can all deal if it does. LOL

You need to be sure that the fragrance you use with this swirl causes no acceleration. The status of your batch should be, at the most, a very light trace. I still think your soap will look pretty.

Your log looks lovely ... wonder what exciting swirls are hiding inside?
:( NONE!! LOL
I cut it this morning before work, but didnt have time for pictures, so I'll take them when I get home. But there were no swirls in it at all. It just looks like a red topper...

No, this fragrance is not an accelorator. I've used it many many times, and I poured at light emulisification - before it even hit trace, but emulsified enough not to cause seperation issues...
