Aloe gel in M&P soap

I am getting ready to make M&P soap with two of my nieces and have never made it before. They wanted to make soap with me, but I have only made CP and can't do that with them because of the lye. So, one of the girls wanted to know if we can add aloe gel? Also, can I color with natural colorants? Any tips you can give me that would be fun to add for 10 and 11 year olds? Thanks, Bnky

Thanks so much for the great link...I didnt' see it until after we were done, but I will have to use it the next time my nieces are with me and we make soap. We did simple lavender this time ad they loved it. Thanks again

Kids love M&P , I let my 5 and 8 yr old grand daughters play with some colored MP sheets and cookie cutters , they had a ball making layered soap then gave them to their other Grampa for his bday .
