Almost new...New to Forum

Hi, My name is Marianne. I live in NC. I haven't made soap in about 5 years, and that was melt and pour. I'm very interested in CP, so any suggestions would be wonderful. It seems a little overwhelming at this point. :shock: I guess I need to start with a good supplier. Any suggestions? Also, how do I create an avatar? See? Lost already.... :wink:

In the upper right hand corner, you'll see the "User Control Panel" button, click it and it will take you to a page where you will see two more buttons - "Overview" and "Front Page". Mouse over "Overview" and click "Profile" in the drop down menu. On the next page, mouse over "Edit Profile" and then click on "Edit Avatar". Just follow the instructions to download your avatar or click on "Display Gallery" button to choose one from the forum.

Thanks for the guidance. I'm looking forward to starting soon. I'm still a little leary, but excited at the same time. There's a little more research that I'd like to do, but then, I'll be a soap-making fool....

If you want an all-purpose supplier for one-stop shopping, I'd try Brambleberry. Her teachsoap.com site is very helpful as are her soap queen videos on youtube.

Another good resource is www.millersoap.com
