Almond extract (for baking) + natural swirlies

First time using colors and swirling, so yes, it's terrible I used paprika for the orange, and you can't see the greenish-brown well, but I used sage for that. Then I decided it needed scent and dug out some pure almond extract (water, 32% alcohol, bitter almond oil). I didn't know what to expect with the alcohol, or if the scent would even stick, but it smells really good this morning. Is it going to stick? I've seen bars for sale that list pure almond extract so I'm hopeful.

Nothing wrong with that soap - it looks very nice!

No idea about the almond extract, but I guess it would be similar to an EO.

You were just lucky. Most of the time when extracts are used the alcohol in the extract causes the soap to heat up and volcano. Ask me how I know!

Yup, alcohol and CP soap generally don't mix. Hope it sticks for you though.

Looks good! I made some a couple of weeks ago with almond extract also. It smells wonderful, nice creamy looking bar. I hope that it doesn't do anything funky while it's curing.

Thanks everyone. I am reasonably happy with it for the first try, but I can't wait to make those really pretty fancy swirls.

I used 1T extract for 28oz of oil, added the extract into the oils after I warmed them up. 1tsp each spice in 1oz of the olive oil and I let it sit for probably 30 minutes before it got added into some of the lightly traced soap I portioned into bowls. I didn't really have any plan in mind, just winged it
