Adding Sugar first time

5% of of oil weight is the sugar amount I use and that works well for me and easy to calculate, I also use SL in every batch. All added to lye water before lye and completely dissolved. HTH.

When you used the sugar in the ZNSC it made it bubbly?!

Actually, it had decent lather without the sugar (85% OO, 10% Coconut, 5% Castor) so I didn't notice much of a difference. It might have been just my imagination but it did seem to have a nicer "feel". I liked it, but probably won't bother with it again.
