I just made a batch that I think is going to turn out great, it's in the fridge, I am sooooo excited! It's lemon popp seed.... with lemonbalm essential oils...

I have been making soap for a few weeks.... about 15 batches under my belt..... some partial gelled but other than that I love them all!

I was having problems tyring to get my soap to NOT gel... I think I finally got it!

Yes, it's exciting. I still get very excited. Those soaps look lovely by the way. Wait till you start swirling. You'll just about pee yourself with excitement when you cut the soap up and see what you've created.

I started to make soap year ago, and now I'm still feeling like you. I make soap for my hart and soul. Have fun!

Like you I've only been making soap for a few weeks ... and last weekend for the first time I didn't find the lye monster so threatening ... just made sure I was treating it with respect and relaxed more ... and so far that's my favourite soap.

Today I made orange poppyseed and I tried a different finish ... with some turmeric tinted soap. I can barely cope with the wait to unmould and cut ...

This is fun ... and so useful!

You'll just about pee yourself with excitement

Really?!? I don't get that excited.

Lillisa, she put the soap in the fridge to stop it from gelling.

Jenrb - Your first soaps look very nice! And it's better than Christmas, because you can do it 365 days a year (if you feel so inclined - and can afford it  )

your right it's better than Christmas....

it's been a while since I have woken up so excited to do something.... I love it!

Today I am going to a housewarming party and what am I bringing? SOAP!

My friends are probably so tired of hearing about it, my husband loves it though!

The orange poppyseed sounds awesome!

here's a picture of my gift, the basket was on her gift list, so i filled it with my soaps, i am so excited!

I can't wait to start swirling,

I have been watching vidoes on swirling in the pot, etc...

The mica's and stuff are definately on my Christmas list!

Jenrb, your soaps look great! Yes, it is soooo exciting to wait and see if a recipe came out well. The gift basket looks really nice.

Your soap is beautiful and it tis funny as I have been soaping for nearly four years now and I often make soap in the evening, go off to work (night duty person) and cannot wait to get home in the morning to pull my soap from the fridge (yip I too am a fridge person) and cut at least one slice to see whats in that log :0)

@Lyn

Lyn, I have seen your soaps, I absolutely love them, I am so excited to get set in my own style as you have done! I am going to try a coulple of colored soaps.... I am going to Brambleberry's store Otion on Tuesday, any advise on types of colorants to try? I want a blue/green and a dark purple....

Thanks for all the support, it's so neat being able to come on here and chat while the soap is curing!

Oh how I would love to be able to visit bramble berry :0) Im a little bit jealous I think LOL :0). They have such beautiful products and I have just started playing with a few of their colours. I am a BIG fan of the pop micas and use them a lot, the puple I use in my lavender manuka soap will add a pic for you..............tis a nice colour to play with activated charcoal is wonderful as well and from bramble berry I have just used the Merlot Mica and the Liquid redb oxide......both very nice.
Cant wait to hear all about your trip to the store and I bet they will be ever so helpful!!!!!!!!

Hi Lyn

Do you have any hassles with quarantine or customs bringing those items into the country. Was wondering about the liquid items.

Relle.

Thanks for the info Lyn, just gathering lots of hints at the moment. Its been 15 yrs since I made soap and we didn't have the net on then. So much easier now with the forums and everyones help with the questions that need answering.
Love your purple soap, purples my favourite colour. Looks good enough to eat.
