I made four batches this week. Small ones, since I'm still learning and trying things out. I'm pretty pleased with how they look and smell so far. Can't wait until they're done curing and ready to use. Thanks for looking!

1. Lemon-citrus scrub bar--lemon, orange, and lemongrass EOs, cornmeal, and lemon zest:

2. Patchouli--earthy brown swirls with a touch of green. Colored with dark chocolate cocoa and green clay. Scented with patchouli EO

3. Spa-inspired bar--green and white (natural) bar with swirly tops. Scented with with a cucumber melon fragrance oil with a little bit of sweet peppermint EO. It smells so wonderful. My 11yo daughter actually designed most of this one--she told me how she wanted it to look and smell.

4. Last one. Tea tree and peppermint w/green clay. I just think tea tree and peppermint is one of the loveliest scents ever. AHHHHH

These are lovely!
Can you tell me how much green clay you used ppo? I used clay in my soap for the first time today, I put 2T in 1lb of soap and it was way too much, I wasn't thinking. I should have put 1/2T if I was following my recipe, which I made up myself and I don't know if it was the right proportion.

I used about a tbsp of clay per pound of oil in the tea tree bar and a little under half that in the colored portion of the spa bar (I only colored half of it). :)

I also love tea tree and peppermint - It's so fresh and tingly, yum! Your soaps are all lovely, they have a common theme and look a lot alike, but the coloring gives them away as different. Very clever!

Thanks! Yeah, I was only coloring half of my soap, attempting a swirl. I way oversaturated the clay half, it looked like mud. Good thing it was an experimental loaf anyway, the uncolored half, I added magnesium oil to.

Thank you! I only have one mold right now--a 12 opening square silicone mold--but I'm kind of liking the square bars. They're a little different, I think. The color differences are much more pronounced in person than they are in photographs, too. :)

I'm sure as I keep going things will start to look different. I'm having fun right now. :)

How do you like that squares mold? Are the corners truly square or do they round or taper at all?

this one I got from Bramble Berry make square soaps... no rounded edges if that's what you're looking for.

thats the one I've been looking at Shannon. Some of the square ones are tapered-ish or even rounded. If that one holds up well I'd probably buy it.

Seeing how I haven't made a CP batch yet I can't speak for that.. I've used it for MP but most often I use it for my solid sugar scrubs. Here is what the description says though

We love using this mold for testing fragrances and colors in Cold Process soap.
Here's what it looks like from the back and a detail of the mold cavity.
This silicone soap mold is safe up to 230 degrees Celsius, 440 degrees Fahrenheit.

I love it, I think it works great. I have this one and the circle mold, I use both quite often.

That's the one I have. :)

The corners on it are perfectly square. No rounding or tapering. I've used it with both MP and CP, and it works great!

I"m so picky I have now changed my mind, lol! I want a mold that will make a square like this, for M&P, seemsthe corners and edges are just very slightly rounded, any idea where to get one?

Found it at Brambleberry, of course.

I have the square one from Brambleberry I have used it over & over without any problems. They also have a new rectangular silicone mold that I just purchased, they are very different, since they are 1.5" tall. I love the look of the slightly rounded bars in your photo. The silicone molds from Brambleberry with 12 openings are very well priced, I had paid the same price for molds with 4 openings.
