I was looking for a recipe for some soap that would be good to use in a spray bottle for cloth wipes. Also do you know of a good recipe to make a soap that you could grate down, combine with borax and washing soda to make laundry detergent? A few other questions: If I were interested in having a soap making business, how much estimate do you make a month? and how long before you saw a profit? How much did it cost you to get started? thank you so much for your time. -Heather-

For the first question, you would be best off making liquid soap and diluting it. Bar soap would get slimy. But either way, if you make a dilute solution as you would need for a spray bottle, it will need a preservative if you mare keeping it for more than a day. Argue all you want, and do what you will, but it needs a preservative.

The second question I don't know.

As for the business questions, I honestly believe that my experience is not relevant to you. Sooooooo many variables. Sorry. Oh, except that it takes a significant investment time and money wise. And do t forget you will need to know how stable your soaps and packaging are, which for me and many others adds a year to the timeline. It's not anything that speeds along.
