50:50 Dual Lye LS Paste Too Hard

Hello Everyone

My 2nd attempt using 50:50 dual lye liquid soap paste is really hard. I think need a hammer. [emoji38] My recipe is Castor Oil 8%, Lard 40%, Olive oil 12%, PKO 40%.

My 1st attempt was ok using Castor 10%, coconut oil 60% and Olive Oil 30%. This turned out really nice. Diluted soap was thick and clear.

Please expert liquid soap makers using the 50:50 dual lye I need your help. Any help is appreciated.

Short answer -- Use less NaOH.

Longer answer -- You will have to play around with the % of NaOH to get the results you want for every different recipe you make. There's no cut-and-dried answer to this.
