This was my "moldy" soap! The top was so hideous that I covered it with some green M&P I expect the green flecks to turn yellow like the ones on top did. I infused the olive oil with rosemary and used EO's of spearmint, peppermint, rosemary, and lavender. It smells amazing. ImageUploadedBySoap Making1380817427.663433.jpg

I made these 6 weeks ago. Going to package them up like tea bags for my grandmother to give to her friends at her stamping party this weekend. ImageUploadedBySoap Making1380817518.039105.jpg

Gennys shampoo recipe scented with Peak Georgia peach (smells like oatmeal). Can't wait till they're cured up! ImageUploadedBySoap Making1380817562.923484.jpg

These were inspired by the "beeswax" talk yesterday and scented with Peak wild mountain honey.. Which Cerelife was kind enough to suggest and send me a sample soap! I love the scent... PS:her soap is great!

TVivian, I love your moldy soap solution, it is so clever! Is the honey-beeswax top made the same way? How do you make the imprint on top of it, if it is M&P? Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, it's a thin layer of M&P as well. I used a honeycomb impression mat.. But I've seen people use bubble wrap for a similar effect!

I love your soaps TVivian! So chic! And awesome photos

Thanks, TViVian, could you, please, describe more in detail the process - sorry, if I am not explaining myself well - do you put the mat over the just poured M&P base, or do you make the actual imprint first (by pouring M&P over the mat letting it cool) and then stick it on the CP soap? In the first case, I would fear the mat emerges in the M&P base and in the second I would have no clue how to make it stick ad hoc to the CP soap....

You can do it both ways. I put my mat on the bottom of the mold, pour in the M&P, let it cool then pour the CP on top.. For the green soap I poured the M&P on after.. But I "scraped" the top of the soap with a fork first to make sure the M&P would stick well.

Thank you Renata

They are all beautiful! Love the addition of M/P on top. I like to keep my soaps uncolored, but this seem like a great way to add just a little color. Do you have any problem with the top separating?

Thanks all for the nice comments!

Roseb, I was worried about that when I first tried this but here is a soap that has been in my shower for about a week and you can see that the top wears away just like the rest of the soap. I do gel my soaps and since the M&P is at the bottom, it's exposed to all of the heat.. Which most likely bonds it to the soap very well. As for the soap where I just added it to the top of an already hardened soap..I'm not sure. I'll have to wait until it's ready and keep you posted.
