My name is Bilal, and im from Long Island NY,

I LOVE SOAP - I'm obsessed. I make it, i use it, and i talk about it to everyone, whether they want to hear it or not.

I only use Olive Oil, no fragrance - no color

I love to cut soap - and I love to look at handmade soap, and all it's imperfect edges and inconsistent shapes. I walk by the soap aisle in the supermarket, just to scoff at the junk they call soap - I curse the irish spring, and the camay, and the coast, and all the others. I dream about bulldozing the soap aisle at my local supermarket, and stocking all the shelves with my castile soap - the embodiement of tradition and authenticity. To the rest of the soapers out there, I got nothing but love! I dont look at other soapers as competition, Rather - I look at all of you as my comrades in the fight against sodium laurel sulfate.

Lather, Rinse, Repeat....

Hi, and welcome!!! So...I take it you love that castille soap, huh? LOL!!!

(That's okay, because there's a great many of us on here that love it too!!!)

welcome to the trenches my man! LOL

We too suffer from the insanity that the commercial stores poisoning our systems and fight the urge to stand in the aisle screaming "WHY?????"

Hahahaha.....Hi Bilal!! I like you already! Welcome to the forum. Post lots of pix...we're pic hos...

LOL , you fit right in . We are ridding the world of that nasty chemical soap one bar at a time  .Glad you joined the fight .

I'm not Bilal, although I heartily share his obsession, but I believe it means 'Soap of Bilal' in French.

IrishLass :)

P.S. Welcome Bilal! :)

haha thanks everyone! Plenty of love and lather for everyone here :)

...yes, Savon De Bilal means just that - "Soap from/of Bilal"
