I have a soap recipe which contains 32 oz. of oils. I'd really like to try the Nag Champa FO I just purchased from Peak, but it is only 1 oz. Would it disappear in 2 lbs of oils?

Also, I have been buying my Palm oil from Brambleberry, and I like the bag-like container, as it makes it easy to melt/knead the oil for use. However, I am wondering if I can get this cheaper. I would miss that bag, though. How is it to work with bucket containers of palm? I know that it has to be melted, due to the stearic acid content.

Thank you!

(Sorry to be asking so many questions all the time!)

I bought Nag Champa fom Southern Garden Scents 6.00 for 4 oz .. I used 1.5 oz in 34 oz of oil ((( it is 4 1/2 weeks old and 1 of my strongest smelling bars )))) I love it !!!

I have used nag champa from peak, I would use more than 1 oz for 2 lbs, at least 1.5.
I get oils from oils by nature or columbus, I dont mind the buckets, course ive never used a bag.

The palm I get is in 5 gallon buckets. I dont mind at all using them, I just have a spoon I use to stir with and get it out when its still runny. But, when it hard...I use an ice cream scoop. That is also what I use for the coconut oil. Though word of advise...get the old time ice cream scoops that are metal...the plastic ones dont scoop as well.

Now, back when I was just doing it small time. I would get a 5 gallon bucket of palm and coconut. Stir the whole bucket, then divide out the oil into plastic containers...think chinese take out soap containers...that way when they did get hard, they was all measured out for soap making.
