Hi, I made my first batch of CP soap yesterday for the first time. It was easy to do, not at all hard like the way i always thought it would be, had fun while making it. Well i just got my soap out of the mold this morning, it wasn't perfect or anything, being that i used a box to mold it in, but i am pleased with my results. It turned out good considering that it was my first attempt at CP soaps. Now i am hooked, will be making many more CP soaps for my familys use, who knows maybe one day i just may look into selling in the future....gotta go and place orders to make CP soap..P.S. i find making my own soap very rewarding....just love that feeling!! :D

I agree with Amanda ~ pictures would be great!

Congratulations on your first batch; I still have yet to cross that milestone, but I'm getting close! I do hope my first batch turns out as successfully as yours :)

Congrats on the first batch! It is indeed a fine feeling to make something beautiful and practical with your own two hands. :)

Great job! Just imagine how how amazing your soap will come out once refine your new-found craft! Glad to hear that your first batch came out so well.

If you're any bit like me, consider trying hot-process too. It's kinda like making soap and cooking at the same time. I'm a little impatient and watching the soap cure for weeks or months just taunted me. :) Hot Process offered the means to be able to use it in only a week or so.

Good luck, and show us some pictures!

hp is awesome, you can add colors and kinda swirl, and use less fragrance! and you can use it sooner, yeah!

congrats!! I agree with bconrade! Wait until you use it!

We want pictures :)

I've just started too and I've tried hot process in the crock pot, rebatching with the crock pot (1st batch didn't have enough scent), cold process/oven process, and one batch of cold process.
I like all the methods, but I'm so sad about having to wait so long to use my CP soap! I think I like CP/OP the best because it's a bit of the best of both worlds. Easy to work with, but then you also get a quicker cure time.
I need to work a bit more on things like shaping the tops so I don't get 'horns' when it processes, and doing decorated swirly top. Next I want to try doing a swirl of 2 colours. There are so many beautiful soaps here to take inspiration from-- I don't know where to start!!
