100% Coconut Oil Soap

So I've been reading how people love 100% coconut soap and they SF at 20% but no one ever mentions a water discount. Anyone make this soap have any idea what a good water discount would be?

Also, I don't see them using castor for bubbles, does this soap lather well?

100% CO with 20% superfat makes awesome lather. I don't do a water discount with this as it usually moves pretty quickly.

Both batches I made got really warm too. Is that the CO?

I use my usual 33% lye concentration with mine (2:1 water to lye ratio) and it always behaves fine for me, unless my FO is a naughty one.

Also, the finished soap lathers like a champ for me without any lather-enhancing ingredients added such as sugar, etc..

Both batches I made got really warm too. Is that the CO?

My 100% CO soap gets hot, too, Jules. This is the only formula I make that doesn't need any encouragement from me to gel.... at all. It gels on its own right on my counter at room temp.

Well that makes me feel a lot better. I don't typically gel so it was quite a surprise.
