I am working on building up an inventory of soap to sell at the Farmers Market sometime in August. I already have 7 or 8 others to sell plus these so I hope they make a good inventory :p:p:p

From top to bottom:

HP scented with BB Passionfruit Rose FO and Sensuous Sandlewood FO and swirl colored with Alkanet Root Powder.

HP scented with WSP Sunflower FO. Top color BB Fizzy Lemonade Colorant, middle color BB Tangerine Wow! Colorant, and bottom color Madder Root Powder.

CP scented with BB Jasmine Dreams FO and NG Can Can Type FO. Colored with BB Fired Up Fuchsia Colorant and Tangerine Wow! Colorant.

CP scented with BB Fresh Bamboo FO and Sweet Orange EO (my mom put those two together). Colored with Alfalfa Power for the green, Ground Turmeric for the orange, and Rhassoul Clay for the beige.

CP scented with BB Leather FO and English Rose FO. Top colored with Black Walnut Powder.

HP scented with Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Type FO,
Curve Women Type FO, Victorias Secret Pink Women Type, Coolwater Type FO from Wellington. Dark have colored with BB Black Oxide and the top is Blue Mica from WSP.

And I get excited about cutting one loaf! LOL. I am going to have to try this some weekend. The only thing is to try to keep the 2 teenagers and DH away from the kitchen. It seems the amount of soap I want to create or try is proportional to the amount of time they want to spend eating or looking for something to eat. Maybe I'll just send them to a restaurant...far, far away!

Just wanted to add that I really like the last one that is blue/brown. I like them all, but that is my favorite! I think the color combo is really "rugged"...kind of jeans and country type look (if that makes sense). Maybe you could display it with some country music CD's and a Pickup truck.
Excuse me but I am a little "punchy" today as I had a few molars pulled this morning and I am on a few vicodin every few hours.

lpstephy, just noticed you are from NE Ohio. Whereabout? I love Farmer's Markets and if you are nearby, I'll come an support your cause and buy a few bars. I live in Hudson.

Hi lpstephy! You are working hard on all those soaps! I bet your house smells wonderful!

I hope you will take this in the spirit I intend when I ask that you please take a look at this thread: http://www.soapmakingforum.com/f23/you-ready-sell-your-soap-16002/

You mentioned last month that you were just delving into CP and HP and not ready to sell, but August is just right around the corner. I really don't mean to sound rude or condescending, so please take my post in the helpful manner I intend. It takes a while to make sure your soaps will stand up to the test of time. The thread covers many issues related to selling. You are obviously working very hard to perfect the process, so keep at it!

I agree with what Kharmon has mentioned above as this was your first post in May - just only 6 weeks ago.

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie and I have been doing MP soap for about 6 months and just started CP and HP soap. I would really like to sell my soaps in the future but right now I am just trying to learn. Seems like there are a lot of knowledgeable soapers on here so I can't wait to learn some tricks! Happy soaping

Could be a good idea to read the above link and wait until selling. Another hint I can give you is make all your bars the same size. You definitely are still learning and you don't know how well your soaps will hold up after 6 or even 12 months. It would be better for yourself and potential customers if you are confident in the quality of your product with testing before selling. Give samples out to friends and family and ask for feedback.

I am in Cuy. Falls! Practically neighbors! After reading the other posts about waiting, it doesn't look like I will be at the Falls Farmers Market next month. They do run through October so maybe before then.

I still think you are pushing things a little, I would wait until next year if I were you, don't be in a rush to sell just to make a dollar. Remember good products take a while to work out.
